Fuel Prices Are Dropping Again: The Silver Lining of 2013

No one I know was excited to get their truck or autohauler back on the road today. It is the day after New Years and the Holiday season has ended. Wednesday, to many, is like a Monday....but wait.

I have the first silver lining of 2013 (where did 2012 go?). Fuel prices dropped again.

Well overall they dropped except in a few markets. Yes the economy is slower BUT the fear of inflation sending fuel prices soaring was very high in 2012. So, this is a bright spot. It does not mean recovery but low fuel prices can help.

Fuel Prices Dropping?

Nationwide Diesel Prices Are Coming Down...

According to Truckinginfo.com the price of fuel came down all across the nation. A pending election and low demand on the East (due to the uninvited visit by Sandy) probably has a lot to do with it. Naturally the East Coast has the cheapest gas since so much of it is either shut down or on standby due to the storm. Either way, there is no way to predict whether it will continue to decline.
