Carhauling, like any other truck segment, is burdened with expenses. The thought of more tolls for every carhauler or autotransport car carrier in the country is going to SERIOUSLY increase those expenses.

For the carhauler the increased cost of over $40 to $60 dollars when going along the I-95 corridor in North Carolina will get rolled into the price of cars. This is something you can probably mask for a while BUT..
The thousands of tons of food and goods that are going up and down the interstate en route to places like Wal Mart and Lowes are REALLY going to reflect these costs. Using the example of Wal-Mart, the mega chain has kept prices low by constantly shipping and transporting goods back and forth between stores based on demand. In a system with monster toll prices, this system will slow down. Goods will not move as freely, and prices will rise. It is not beyond the real of possibility for this to put many Americans in financial peril who are struggling on insufficient wages. I think the state needs to explore other avenues to solve their transportation needs.
